Community Based Initiative for Growth and Sustainability (CBIGS) under the EU-ACT project implementation programme recently concluded a Dissemination Workshop on improving Sanitation and Hygiene Practices in Zuba and Pyakasa communities in the FCT.
The audience included WASH stakeholders and the general public. Lessons Learnt from the project
1️⃣ Improvement in hygiene practices in Zuba and Pyakasa communities where the project focused on.
2️⃣ There was commitment from the community volunteers and both area councils environmental services to sustain the project by so doing, there will be the eradication of water borne diseases
3️⃣ Community members now treat their drinking water before consumption
4️⃣ Hand washing practice has improved in both communities.
5️⃣ There was commitment from Zuba and Pyakasa Primary Health Care Centers on sustain the project by sensitization of proper hygiene and sanitation to patients.
